FALTAITS MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND FOLKLORE

It is housed in the old mansion of the "Faltagid", whose roots are lost somewhere in the Byzantium, towering over the NE edge of the city, built on the largest tower of the ancient Pelasgic wall of Skyros. Exhibits include rich folklore material and historical files....
ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

The Archaeological museum of Skyros consists of two halls with ten showcases displaying findings from all the historical periods of the island. Ceramic findings from 2900 B.C., from Mycenaean period, from protogeometric period and up to 7th century B.C. are included in the collection. The majority comes from the locations Themis, Magazia, Agalini, Apatsini, St. Anna, etc.
